Smiley by Miley is a conceptual brand based on Miley Cyrus. They are a vegan and cruelty-free brand that uses clean ingredients and sustainable packaging. Their mission is to bring happiness, smiles, and fierceness into your makeup and skincare routine.
DESIGN CONCEPTS
I was inspired to create a beauty and skincare brand that fit the aesthetic and personality of a celebrity. As someone who loves using bright colors in my designs, I thought that Miley Cyrus was the perfect person for this project. I chose the name 'Smiley' because it was her childhood nickname and it represents the fun, playful vibes of the brand.
I get a lot of my inspiration through the music I listen to, so I created a Spotify playlist with all my favorite Miley Cyrus songs in order to help me visualize what her music looked like as a beauty/skincare product. Because Miley Cyrus has a diverse discography with eye-catching aesthetics that fit according to the album era, I incorporated different elements of each album into the Smiley brand. Each product is named after one of her songs.
